Lai Chiu-chen (b.1970) is a young painter who has been working on the media more than a decade, and was the winner of the 2003 Taipei Arts Award.
This catalogue was published for his solo exhibition held at Taipei Fine Arts Museum from 13 December 2003 to 15 February 2004. In this exhibition, he showed paintings of toys and its parts that he had been working on from 2000. The essay written by the artist himself, his ideas concerning 'painting toys' are indicated carefully referring to the Western art history.
With a preface by the TFAM director Huang Tsai-Lang and a biography of the artist in both Chinese and English.
