This is the second of the series of public talks given by senior staff of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, a programme co-organised by the Asia Art Archive and the Art School of the Hong Kong Arts Centre. The talk was held on 3 December 2004 at the auditorium in Bloomberg, Hong Kong.

John Hanhardt is Senior Curator of Film and Media Arts at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Among the exhibitions he has curated for the Guggenheim are the major retrospectives The Worlds of Nam June Paik and Bill Viola: Going Forth By Day.
