Born in 1951 in a poor Guangdong village, Fung Ming Chip grew up in Hong Kong, where he graduated from primary school. After moving to New York in 1977, he emerged as a self-taught artist whose route to calligraphy was through sculpture and seal carving. The present exhibition showcases 24 of Fung's works, including four from his airplane landscape series. Artist statement and biography are provided in the catalogue.
