This is the catalogue of Yang Yan Ping's solo exhibition at Alisan Fine Arts in 1993. Featured in the catalogue are Yang's paintings of lotus flowers. The artist experiments radically with colours and explores the expressive qualities of the lotus pond. Her depictions of the lotus pond focus on the lotus in autumn and winter, a view of the pond toward the end of its glory when the stalks are bent and the flowers are worn and turning dry. With artist biography and short texts by Rhonda Cooper and Michiaki Kawakita.
