Published in conjunction with the 3rd Riwaq Biennale in 2009, entitled 'A Geography: 50 Villages'. Focusing on 50 villages selected for their architectural significance in Palestine Territories, the 3rd Riwaq Biennale — curated by Charles Esche and Reem Radda — offers a platform for art projects, installations, discussions, workshops, and site visits, concerning the rehabilitation of the selected villages. It begins as a collateral event of the 53rd International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, taking place in multiple locations in Palestine and Venice, from June to October 2009.

Geography 101: Riwaq | 50 Villages is the first of three volumes of the accompanying catalogues, featuring texts by Khalil Rabah, Suad Amiry, Nazmi Jubeh, Farhat Muhawi, Khaldun Bshara, Leila Shahid, Luisa Morgantini, and Johan Brisman, as well as postcard images of 50 Palestinian historical sites.
