'Starting in 1991, Wang Yu-pang spent over 20 years recording images and documentary texts in the Rukai indigenous village of Haucha. Since 2009, Wang has extensively presented this work in the "Records of Austronesia: Images Speaking Rukai" column of Art Accrediting—the journal of the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts. This book brings together the column's images and texts in re-edited form, and is entitled Sabau! Haucha to present Wang's many moods as he faced Haucha ("Sabau" is a Rukai greeting, and has meanings of "hello," "good job," "thank you," etc.).
