Published to coincide with the named exhibition held in late 2008 at Phillips de Pury & Company, London, and in early 2009 at its New York location. Held in collaboration with Gallery Nature Morte, New Delhi and Green Cardamom, London, this group exhibition demonstrates the heterogeneous nature of local cultures within South Asia. In the introductory notes, Peter Nagy explains that the show's title 'alludes to those who the artists expect they will be speaking to and those who will be furtively listening in on their conversations. Eavesdropping implies a lack of prior knowledge of the subject at hand, parachuting uninvited into a dialogue that is already in progress[...]All of the artists make references in their works to elements of "local" culture, be it personal, collective, contemporary or historical, and these references hopefully communicate something about the experience of living in South Asia today.'

List of exhibited works and artist biographies are included.
