The present monograph brings together a body of artworks by Chinese artist Yang Shaobin, created during the 1980s to 2004. The depictions of violence, disasters, wars, and political critiques are the main subject matters of his paintings, and he has expressed his interest in this issues in the interview with Li Xianting and in the acompanying essay by Wang Minan. Artist's biography is included.
