Review titled 'Lost and Found' by James Payawal Saspa published in Philippine Free Press on 26 October 1996.

The exhibition reviewed 'Collage' was held at Finale Art Gallery, SM Megamall in October 1996. Curated by Roberto Chabet, it featured nineteen collages by Chabet, Nilo Ilarde and Gerardo Tan.

Roberto Chabet on the art of collages, quoted by James P. Saspa:
'What I like about collage is the sense of lost and found. People use found objects and give them new a new reality, one that is not traceable to its original surroundings. When I take an object out of its origin, it becomes lost. And when I use it in a collage, I leave it lost. I respect the object's 'lost-ness', that its unaccounted for. I think its important to have that in anything you do. Like memory, you know, when you try to recall something and it doesn't come out complete, there are pieces missing. That sense of lost in memory applies to collage...In collage, it is up to the viewer to fill the missing pieces.'
