The writer criticised the urban planners in Hong Kong S.A.R. for not making the best use of Stanley's natural environment and historical background. In the writer's opinion, Stanley has a beautiful natural surrounding and carries an unique cultural value, however, emphasis is only placed on shopping and dinning. The writer suggests that tourism in Hong Kong S.A.R. should not be solely focus on the commercial aspect, but also on the cultural aspect.
