This catalogue reviews the second ARCUS Project (1996), which aims to communicate with local residents via art and cultural programmes. The project is comprised of two parts: the 'artist-in-residence programme' and the 'communication programme.'
For the artist-in-residence programme, six artists from six different countries were invited to stay and create artworks in the ARCUS Studio for three months from 1 October 1996 onwards. Later on in the communication programme the artists held workshops and made visits to schools and private houses, so as to interact with the local residents.
Featured in this catalogue are outline of the project events, profiles of the participating artists and reviews of their activities at ARCUS.
