The artists selected for this year’s exhibition use a variety of media, including painting, photography, video and installation, and explore a broad spectrum of subjects ranging from personal narrative to the modern history of Korea. One artist takes Korean traditional art as a starting point, some others statistics and graphic design and still another focuses on sound as opposed to the visual—together they demonstrate the history of art that continues to broaden its horizon over time and hint at its future. Other works that have interactive dimensions enrich the exhibition as well. By presenting these diverse works we hope to demonstrate the current state of contemporary Korean art and contemplate its possibilities.' (From official website.)
