Before and Ever After. 522 Days of Oil Street, 油街結業：五二二日夢醒時份之存在和過去
'The phantom of the place where the absence of the physical [art community] is at the same time a repercussion for another invisible presence [spirit].' The photographs presented in this monograph is a reminiscent account of the Oil Street artist village by Stanley Wong. Formerly a government warehouse, spaces at the site were rented to artists in 1998 on short-term leases at extremely low prices, quickly attracting them to set up galleries and studios. Though the tenants were asked to move out eventually, the Oil Street chapter has made a deep impact on the cultural development of Hong Kong.
