The Contemporary Thai-Dutch Art Exhibition is an exhibition of drawing and painting held in celebration of 400 years of Thai-Dutch relations. Featured in the exhibition are paintings by three Thai artists who have worked and lived in the Netherlands for extended periods. Chavalit Soemprungsuk's abstract works are inspired by Dutch landscape; Phanee Metongkum depicts geometric abstract compositions; and Morrakot Naksin showcases paintings and sculptures that deal with her childhood memories. Three Dutch artists, Lady Lea MA Dingjan Laarakker, Sjoerd Bakker and Jan Montyn, who have lived in Thailand are also featured in the exhibition. With article by Han Ten Brummelhuis on the history of Thai-Dutch relations, introduction by the organiser and artist biographies.
