'Continuing the project that explores the "instructional art" between artist-parents and their children, Rooftop Institute has published a new book "Event Scores 2: Ideas between Artist-Parents and Their Kids", in which 45 artist-parents from around the world are invited to provide alternative ways of parent-child interactions. These suggestions for action are open to the reader’s interpretation, ranging from helping parents and children to co-create with the things around them, to reflecting on their relationship and getting along with each other. The ‘material’ or ‘medium’ used by the artist can be a naming system, some play, a colour-separated space, some encounters, an attempt to lower oneself, a piece of soil, a car ride, a dream…The act of art as a means of communication may enable parents to look beyond their own perspectives, open their eyes and imagination to the world, and discover the joys of being with their children through shared experiences.' - Excerpted from Rooftop Instiute's social media page
