Since 2007, over 40 artists, scientists, engineers and writers have taken part in Khoj's Art and Science programmes. Aparna Uppaluri, herself an artist and scientist working at the intersections of scientific inquiry and creative practice, was invited to put together a series of talks titled 'Hence (un)Proven' and to edit this volume, which gathers transcripts of talks, artworks, interviews, artists' concept notes and critics' writings that map a cross section of Khoj's engagement with the field.

Contributors include Ackroyd and Harvey, Anil Ananthaswamy, Brandon Ballengée, Alexey Buldakov, Sonia Mehra Chawla, Neha Choksi, City as a Spaceship, Rohini Devasher, Abhishek Hazra, The Kalpana, Bishnu Mohapatra, Ashis Nandy, Sanil V, Milind Sohoni, Navin Thomas, and Darya Warner and Puneet Kishor.
