Founded in 1997, Artist Commune was a non-profit organisation of local artists who are committed to the development of visual art in Hong Kong. In 1999, Artist Commune became a registered limited company. Throughout the years, Artist Commune had relocated to various venues, from Oil Street to Cheung Sha Wan Cattle Slaughterhouse to Cattle Depot Artist Village. Artist Commune ceased activity in 2012.
