Context

Founded in 2008 by Aye Ko and a group of artists, New Zero Art Space is a non-profit arts organisation based in Yangon, Myanmar. According to its website, New Zero Art Space aims to 'augment the abilities of each artist to increase their value and individual experience but they also foster cooperation amongst each other as artists to support the collective.' To do so, New Zero Art Space operates an artist residency programme which invites visual and performance artists from Asia, Europe and North America to participate and learn about Myanmar art and culture.
