Catalogue published in conjunction with the exhibition 'Pencil Posturing' by Kiko Escora at the The Drawing Room, Makati City from 4 to 22 March 2000. The figures that inhabit Escora's works are subjected to close scrutiny that may abash the ordinary folk. Escora's interest in figures and creatures derived from bohemian nightlife is manifested in an earlier collection of large pen-and-ink drawings. In this catalogue, the models pose not in the academically conservative pose. Rather, they are depicted — or directed — in a choreography of gesture, in the mannered poses of the ramp mannequin.

Artist biography is included.
