Catalogue of solo exhibition by Kisahtanpanarasti Titarubi at Cemeti Art House, Yogyakarta in 2007. Mella Jaarsma wrote, 'The attraction of the piece that Titarubi presents at Cemeti Art House is due to her ability to select and explore a visual image that is familiar to many different cultures. Trains and broken human bodies are commonly used symbols of a history of violence in many different civilizations and cultures. The audience is welcome to appreciate this piece according to their own backgrounds. A series of collective memories lay here: the violence in 1965, the massacre of the Jews by Hitler, the construction of the railways in South America, etc.' Artist biography is provided in the present catalogue.
