Dear fellow human,

There's no doubt that the way we live is unstainable. Mass dependence on fossil fuels has resulted in global warming and we only recycle a fraction of what we buy, the rest ends up as landfill. This self destructive practice not only harms our environment but also affects wildlife habitats, causing devasting losses to many animal species.

While an obvious solution to problems caused by overconsumption would be to cease industrial production and never buy anything again, but it is impractical considering the amount of jobs from industry that would be lost and then we would be denying ourselves one of the most basic human instincts, that of creating and making.

In the world of greenwashing, the work 'eco' may have become a buzzword and perhaps a prevailing trend but there is no doubt that environmentally friendly design has to become a permanent part of our lives.
