First in a series of exhibitions at the LASALLE, refuting the claim/belief (that began at the end of the 19th century with the invention of photography) that painting is dead, and instead navigates its "relevance to the expanded field of contemporary art" today (Eugene Tan, Director of Earl Lu Gallery). Artists chosen from different parts of the world, includes Ho Tzu Nyen and Yong Tai Si, both from Singapore. Essays by different writers provide an academic perspective on the field of painting.
