'The works of German artists have often been introduced in Korean museums and art galleries, including the works of Beuys, the most outstanding German artist, of neo-expressionists such as Baselitz, Penk, Immendorf, and Lupertz, and Polke, Kiefer, and other young German artists. The Total Museum of Contemporary Art has planned "Project Eight" to present the installation works of four Korean artists who are active at home and in Germany and of four promising German artists. Most German exhibitions in Korea have presented two-dimensional works of art. But on this occasion these artists will perform in an experimental space with visual mediums such as three-dimensional objects, projectors, and video monitors and provide viewers with extraordinary visual experiences. It will be a good opportunity for viewers to experience different aesthetic viewpoints through the works of these Korean and German artists.' - excerpt from p. 51 of the catalogue
