Show Me Thai consists of works by more than 70 Thai artists as well as some Japanese counterparts who have had close association with Thailand. Since the prewar period through the time of Japan's high economic growth, Thai culture has received and absorbed great influence from Japanese culture. The exhibition aims to introduce such early encounters between the two cultures, together with the recent influence of Japanese popular culture including Manga, music, television and fashion by presenting various artistic expressions such as painting, sculpture, video, installation as well as music. The present catalogue includes artist biographies, a timeline of major events in Thailand, Japan and the world, and a list of exhibitions participated by Thai and Japanese artists.
