This catalogue was published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the conclusion of the month-long Swedish-Sri Lankan Artists' Residency (SSAR) Program in January 2005. Its objective is to initiate a dialogue between Sri Lankan and Swedish artists and to open up possibilities for future collaboration between artists of both countries. The SSAR program is supported by Theertha International Artists' Collective, the Swedish Institute, and the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities (Sweden).
Other participating artists are Filppa Arrias, Jacob Dahlgren and Jesper Nordahl. Artist statements and biographies are included.
This material was collected by the Sri Lanka Archive of Contemporary Art, Architecture & Design, and donated to Asia Art Archive as part of the programme ‘Mobile Library: Sri Lanka’ in 2013.
