Aiming at illustrating the process of modernisation in Taiwanese art before 1945, the present publication focuses on representative artworks produced during that period in Taipei Fine Arts Museum Collection. Featured artists are divided into the following categories: Japanese Artists, Watercolor, Oil Painting, Sculpture, Gouache Painting, Calligraphy, Bookle of Calligraphy and Ink Painting, and Photography.
Research Papers as well as statistics of the museum's collection of artworks before 1945 are included in the book. Please note that except the Preface by the museum director, all articles are written in Chinese language only.
