This book documents the International Workshop in Gaddani, three International Residencies and two Educational Teaching Residencies. On the platform of '256 Shades', a number of events, talks and exhibitions were concieved that brought the new media art in Pakistan under the spotlight. Also included are a space to space collaboration with Artist Commune - Hong Kong, 'Virtual Vicinity' which stretched the visual dialogue through the internet, and an interview with Johan Pijnappel where he shares his thoughts and aspirations on video art and contemporary practice.
