Wawasan 2020 (Vision 2020) was a 30 years development plan proposed by Malaysia's former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad in 1991. This proposal contributes an entry point for this thematic exhibition that brings together a cross generational selection of contemporary Malaysian artists. The work on display in the exhibition shows the experiences, frustrations and lingering optimism of the participating artists as they look into the past, present and future of Malaysia.
