The Sha Fei Awards for Photography have been established in memory of Sha Fei, one of the most prominent photographers in China in the 20th century. Proposed by Sha Fei's daughter Wang Yan, the awards recognize individuals whose photographic works show a deep concern for society and the fate of humanity. With biography and chronology of Sha Fei, comments by the jurors and essay by Gu Zheng.
