This book narrates the evolution of the creative practices of Tissa Ranasinghe (b. 1925), and sets his rich legacy into the context of his life and times. The Sri Lankan artist, known for his work in bronze, drew inspiration from Buddha's life and the Hindu pantheon, and reinvented the stories of myth and religion through his sculptures of Visvakarma, Garuda, Prince Siddhartha, etc. Also featured are his drawings and murals.
