This major traveling exhibition features the collaborative works between artists and curators in the Mekong sub-region. It includes 32 art works by 20 artists from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. The curators Penwadee Nophaket Manont, Kong Vollak, Misouda Heuangsoukkhoun, and Le Ngoc Thanh, refer to the exhibition 'Underlying' as a metaphorical process to explore subjects illustrating the diversity of peopleʼs characteristics, social issues, and contemporary lifestyles in the region.
Images of works in the catalogue are accompanied by artist biographies and artist statements. With curatorial statements provided in English, Thai, Lao, Cambodian and Vietnamese.
