Catalogue of Atta Kim's solo exhibition at Rodin Gallery, Seoul, March to May 2008. Kim is known for his photographic series such as 'Psychopaths' (1985-86), 'Human Cultural Assets' (1989-90), 'In-der-Welt-sein' (1990-91), and 'Deconstruction' (1991-95). It was with his 'Museum Project' of the late 1990s that brought him to the world stage. Kim's 'ON-AIR Project' is characterized by long and multiple exposures. By choosing specific locales such as DMZ — the symbolic area for the division of Korean peninsula, the busy streets of New York and the Tiananmen Square of Beijing, the artist wishes to call our attention to the meaning of being that gradually disappears into time. Artist biography is provided.
