Meeting Point Thailand – Vietnam (Exhibition opening)

In this photo, Mr Toan Thi, former Director of HCMC Fine Arts Museum, is giving an opening speech.

Artworks of the participating artists in the Workshop, Meeting Point - Workshop of Thai & Vietnamese Artists, organised by the Blue Space Contemporary Arts Center at Dalat from 24-31 May 1998, were displayed in this exhibition from 3 June 1998 for 10 days at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum.

The participants of the Workshop are seven artists from Thailand: Chumpon Apisuk, Montien Boonma, Sriwan, Kamol Phao Savasdi, Vasan, Natee Utarit and Nitaya, and eleven Vietnamese artists: Nguyen Thi Dam Thuy, Do Hoang Tuong, Tran Van Thao, Do Xuan TInh (Ho Chi Minh City), Pham Ha Hai, Diep Quy Hai, Tran Hau Yen The (Hanoi), Turong Be, Le Thua Tien (Hue), Ta Thi Anh Hong (Vinh Long) and Nguyen Thai Tuan (Dalat).
