Ruangrupa was initiated by six Jakarta based artists in January 2000. The main idea was to provide an intimate and autonomous art workspace for artists to live and work intensively within a period of time. This book published by Ruangrupa provides general background information on the group. With a bilingual article entitled 'A Cold Beer Conversation and 3 Years After' and an interview originally featured in Trolley Magazine.
