This catalogue is published in the occasion of Myint Swe's solo exhibition 'Burma: The Quiet Violence', held at Thavibu Gallery, Thailand in 2009. 

'The collection features 38 paintings that reflect the artist's concerns about the detention of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and the discouraging socio-political environment in Burma. The paintings were executed in Rangoon between 1997 and 2005 and secretly transported to Bangkok where they have been stored for some years.'-excerpted from Foreword by Jørn Middelborg.
