As mentioned in greeting by the organizers, the Agency for Cultural Affairs has dispatched young artists abroad to give them opportunities to study outside Japan since 1967. This dispatching system currently covers various forms of art, such as visual art, music, dance, drama, movie, and theatrical design, as well as art management.
Domani is held annually to showcase the accomplishments of these dispatched artists.
Short comments by the participating artists and a list of works are included in the catalogue.
The 7th Domani exhibition held in 2004 focused on Nihon-ga (traditional Japanese Painting).
