Excerpt from Inward Gazes: Documentaries of Chinese Performance Art 2012, The Macao Museum of Art, Macau S.A.R., 2012, p. 92: 'I arranged the matchsticks in a spiral shape on a wooden plate. Then I turned off the lights and scattered the plant seeds on the floor. After that, I lit some matchsticks and looked for the scattered seeds for five minutes. Finally, I lit the spiral-shaped matchsticks to conclude.
This is an integrated performance of rhythm in light, seeds, life, and energy.'
The performance took place in Quebec, Canada.
