'Home and Away presents the work of six international contemporary artists whose art addresses notions of globalization, diaspora, intersection and changing conceptions of home and nation.
These artists propose diverse models of production within the new global economy and their work addresses the growing dialogue and movement among the people and the nations of the Asia Pacific. One of the principle challenges for artists living in the new global configuration is to maintain a sense of their own self that is tied to their place of origin while critically assessing the new mobility and fluidity of movement that is characteristic of our time.' —Bruce Grenville
