Excerpt from Inward Gazes: Documentaries of Chinese Performance Art 2012, The Macao Museum of Art, Macau S.A.R., 2012, p. 108:'Starting from Bangkok, a team composed of artists sailed along the Mekong River to the North. We worked out the performance art during the three-week exploration on the river.
Mekong River is the mother river of Southeast Asia, and is the lifeline of several countries there.
Governments and businessmen are building dams on the Mekong River for immediate interests, yet this undermined the environment and the biological chain of nature!
Waterweeds will not grow; fish swim to spawn in the downstream but they will not swim back to the upper reaches.
Fish hooks hung in mid air!
People will lose their homes which they have lived in for a long time.
We express our concern about the Mekong River through art!'
The performance took place in April, 2010.
