The thematic exhibition is divided into four sections: Resources, Revisit, Reform, and Republic. In addition, the Biennale has for the first time employed an Inter-city Pavilions model to move towards further internationalization and to truly infuse the Biennale into the heart of the city. Also documented in this catalogue are special projects including the Shanghai Ark and Zhongshan Park Project, and the workshop series 'Academy of Reciprocal Enlightenment'.
Please note only Asian artists are listed below. Other Asian participants include Eungie Joo, Caochangdi Work Station, Cai Tai Ban, City University of Hong Kong & Dunhuang Academy, China.
