"Sungdu-an 3: Making the Local" is a national traveling exhibition funded by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). It is the flagship project of the NCCA Committee on Visual Arts, featuring contemporary works by visual artists from Mindanao, Visayas, Luzon, and National Capital Region (NCR). It seeks to sustain the energy of inventiveness and openness in Philippine contemporary art in a project that attends to the many ways of bringing art and artists together within a multi-level model of exhibition in which the local and its multiple contexts interact in collective critique and change.

The present publication is the catalogue of the Mindanao exhibition. The Mindanao exhibit's subtheme, Lambigit comes from the Bisayan word that means "interweave". The exhibit showcases six projects that attempt to show the face and issues of contemporary Mindanao. Lambigit is a convergence of the participating artists' perceptions as they confront pressing local issues and realities. Included in the catalogue are artist biographies and a directory of Mindanao artists, art groups and art organisations.
