Organised by Lalit Kala Akademi (National Academy of Art) at Ahmedabad, the 44th National Exhibition of Art in 2001 features 293 shortlisted artists - including nine awardees and five individuals at Honourable Mention of the National Academy Awards - and their works of painting, sculpture, print, mixed-media, installation, photography, ceramics and glass. Also presented are four guest artists: Sunil Das, Amit Ambalal, Sachida Nagdev, and Vinod Shah.
