This catalogue is published in conjunction with the group exhibition entitled 'The LASALLE School' at Earl Lu Gallery, Singapore from 5-28 March 2004. Suggested by the title, it is an exhibition that seeks to select and showcase art works from 33 artists whose works have been nurtured by and developed through association with the LASALLE-SIA College. The college has engendered and developed through its role as an art educational institution. To a certain extent, the works showcased suggest a notion of what constitutes 'The LASALLE School' in terms of pedagogical influences, intellectual currents, aesthetic peculiarities and historical milestones and trajectories. Colour plates and artists' biographies are included.
