This monograph was published on the occasion of Zao Wou-ki's solo exhibition in 2003, comprised of watercolour and oil paintings, at the Alisan Fine Arts gallery in Hong Kong.
This monograph captures the stylistic development of the artist from the 1950s to the 1990s. His paintings show a transition from a struggling immigrant artist' to a 'French artist with Chinese roots', which reflect his 'gradual easing into French culture and life style', and his work 'became more impressionistic' over the years.
Includes artist biography.
