This is an exciting internship opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic organisation at the centre of the regional contemporary art landscape. Asia Art Archive (AAA) is an independent non-profit organisation founded in 2000 to document and make accessible the recent histories of contemporary art in Asia through residencies, research and educational programmes, publications, and institutional collaborations. It has the most valuable growing collection of material on the recent history of art from Asia, freely available from its website and onsite library.

AAA is recruiting interns to assist with the research and archive project Recalling Disappearance: Hong Kong Contemporary Art which aims to support research, writing, and discussion on Hong Kong art history through a holistic approach.

The paid internship is a part-time position for a duration of 2 – 3 months with the Research Team at AAA. The internship offers an opportunity to learn a variety of skills, which include literature review, field research, digitisation, writing annotations, cataloguing books, and organising public programmes.

The intern will work on AAA's Hong Kong collection and will receive training in Research and Library Collection processes including organising, digitising, and annotating archives important to Hong Kong contemporary art for AAA’s online platform.
