Catalogue of the group exhibition From Lahore to Montmartre held at Gallery Chappe in Paris in 2007. The exhibition presents contemporary miniature painting works by three Pakistani artists Muhammad Zeeshan, Mudassar Manzoor, and Asif Ahmed. Each of these artists seeks to share his understanding of a historical genre, to explore the tensions which lie beneath the surface of a rapidly changing society, to reflect the divergent ideas which jostle for expression in a vibrant art scene. Salima Hashmi says, 'In the "neo-miniature" movement in Pakistan, there is a yearning to be on many sides of the divide.' Artists' biographies are included.
