In 2007, Hong Kong based artist, Jaffa Lam spent 6 months visiting 9 cities in the USA and Canada, made possible by an Asian Cultural Council Fellowship. During her trip, she was a resident at Urban Glass in New York and the Tree Museum in Toronto, which saw her initiating community public art projects, working with different artist groups to learning how to cook Fukienese food.

Jaffa Lam works mainly in cultural and site-specific art and has exhibited internationally, including Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Paris and Auckland. She has participated in several artist residency programs including the Hualien International Artists' Workshop, Taiwan; Wasanii International Artists' Workshop, Kenya; Shanghai Pottery Workshop, China and Britto Arts Trust, Bangladesh. She is the co-founder and former Chair of The AiR Association, a registered charity in Hong Kong that aims to initiate, stimulate and reinforce cultural exchange and public art exploration.
