This catalogue was published for the 4th Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale, held in 2009 to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum (FAAM). Under the theme "Live and Let Live: Creators of Tomorrow", the exhibition aims to look towards the future while also reviewing the development of Asian art in the past decade. A special commemorative section is included, with a chronology of the museum and a review of past FAAM Residence Programs, followed by messages from various contributors.

The Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale is held every three years with a different theme, and introduces the latest in art from 21 countries and regions throughout Asia.
