This catalog was produced on occasion of the solo exhibition of Indian artist Zarina Hashmi entitled 'Paper Houses' held from January to February 2007 in New Delhi. This exhibition features works made by the artist in the 1980s using cast paper. Using paper slurry, the artist poured it into deep relief molds to create sculptural works that look like they have been made out of stone, clay or bronze but are in fact made of paper. Zarina's work reflects the different techniques she learned in India, Paris, Bangkok and Japan, which she has combined to create these sculptures. This book includes an essay, as well as an interview with the artist by Geeti Sen. The exhibition also featured prints made by the artist.
