Fei Dawei Archive 費大為檔案
Fei Dawei (b.1954) is a curator and art critic who studied art history at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. He began his career as an independent curator in France, where he also participated in cultural exchange programmes, international symposiums, and academic presentations. He curated several large-scale contemporary Chinese art exhibitions overseas, including ’Chine Demain pour Hier’ in 1990; ‘Exceptional Passage’ at the Fukuoka Art Museum in 1991; and ‘The Monk and the Demon’ at the Lyon Contemporary Art Museum in 2004. In October 2002, Fei Dawei became the director of The Guy and Myriam Ullens Foundation and was the founding director of the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing.
This archive consists of over 1,800 items reflecting the artist’s research, curatorial practices, and writings since the 1980s.
